"Blogging? Nah, I'm not really into that. What do I have to tell anyone? Aren't there enough blogs already, for goodness sake? "

Yep, that's my thoughts going into this. But, my lovely bride has urged me (and talked co-workers into urging me) to create a blog so that I may impart a sampling of the volumes of useless but sometimes interesting knowlege on the world. Impart? Maybe "inflict" is more accurate.

I will likely spend most of the bandwidth trying to score husband points, as I'm sure this little dark corner of the internet will go unnoticed by just about everyone except Mendy. But, on the off chance someone else reads it, I will likely include some other items of disinterest.

To kick it off, my thought for the day:
Hang up the phone and drive, you jerk! Until such time as you 1) become a good driver without a phone, AND 2) grow another pair of arms that will allow you to signal and operate heavy machinery properly, OR 3) you have no chance of screwing up my life by endangering my family or property with your inconsiderate and selfish "need" to talk to whomever is on the other end about nothing important (at least not important enough to endanger us); until then be advised that I will make your progress difficult and will NOT yield any quarter to you on the highways! If you ever, EVER, make any tangible impact on my life (my family or my property), you will pay dearly.

Yes, this subject is near and dear to my heart, and I look forward to the day when law enforcement cracks down on this. But, I'm also strongly opposed to 16 year olds in performance cars, driving fast in residential areas, no apparent driver training (ignoring common road signs and signals), and a host of other moving violations. But, those are for another day. :-)

Don't forget to tip the wait staff, and please don't put any gum under the tables.
