The good, the bad, and the irritating

Instead of some lengthy complaintfest from the weekend, I'll just sum it up:
  • Even runs you prepare well for can go bad, and just feel rough
  • Organizations like the military have lots and lots and lots of inherent flaws, mainly due to the size and subsequent communication breakdown
  • Driving skills and avoiding drinking while actually driving seem to be optional items for most Atlanta residents

Okay, I feel marginally better. It wasn't all bad, however; I got to hang out with Wes and have a couple of frosty beers over a cheese steak. That was a lot of fun, and I had to send J-Mizzle a pic of us just to rub it in a little. I tried to subtly talk him into JavaFest 2008 Part Deux in Va Beach, but I'm not sure if I did a good enough job.

So, back to work. Blah! Still trying to tie up some loose ends from the Reserves. I'm glad I get to do my real job and take care of all this other crap at the same time. Maybe I'll go ride my bike at lunch, just to get some frustration out. Training is going pretty well (despite the less-than-stellar run on Saturday), and if I do go out today it will be day 9 since rest. Well, day 7 was just some light weight training, so I'm not sure that counts. Whatever, I'll take it.

Saving the biggest news for last, it's Magnum's birthday today! So, guess what tune I have stuck in my head today? Go ahead, take a guess. I'll give you three chances, and the first two don't count.

Oh, and Marcy, I heard on the radio today that the Puke Heads on the Knock won't be getting back together, at least according to one of the "band" members (not sure if it was Donny, Danny, Dippy, or Skippy). I'll send you some Kleenex to mop up the tears.

LOL! I don't need much talking into to do a race, and I DO have a big stinking gap in my race schedule about that time. It's just my life is not my own, so I'll have to play that one by ear...

I have no idea why and it is actually kind of creepy, but I was just thinking about Tom Selleck last night...maybe I'm psychic :P

How about talking Wes into Javafest 2009? As for Tom Selleck, if you died your hair and grew a cheesy mustache, you would resemble him :0

Ahhh, Tom! He's still dreamy, and one of the few men who look good with a mustache (otherwise, men with mustaches seem creepy to me -- like they own white vans with no windows and hang out near playgrounds).

Too bad the race wasn't great. Next year, you'll have to reserve that weekend for Miami!

I read that too! It might just be a reality show where they pick new members. We shall see though . . . you know those homeboys need some dough :P

Tom Selleck TOTALLY gives me the creeps. I don't know if it's the hairy manjungle on his chest or what, but *eeewwwwhhhhhhhhhhhhh*

Ohhhh and Wes, but think how many bathroom shots we could do in VA :P

Sorry for the rough time homie! Go out and how yourself a drinky! ;-)

Geez, you guys pack a lot in. I commend you and Men for working so hard together and apart to bring it all together in the end. I hope you have time for rest and enjoying each other too. Take care!

Where do find out this stuff? Did you hear about Tom's birthday on the radio this morning? funny...

Yeah, reserves suck sometimes. No wonder people get out the reserves left and right. If I was going through what you are, I'm not sure I'd stick around, even though I have just 5 yrs left.

Tom Selleck on that show Las Vegas is pretty good even though I liked James Caan better.

Keep sweating out that frustration Bro...take it to the road. Cycle on!!
